How to change your cat’s diet?

Cats require a change of diet to meet their overall nutritional needs as they grow from a small kitten to an adult cat.

Other driving factors behind the need for you cat to have a change in diet, include weight concerns, health issues, pregnancy and nursing. In transiting your cat to a new diet, do it gradually over a period of 7-10 days to allow your cat time to adjust to the new diet.

  • On Day 1 and 2, feed your cat 75% of their current diet with 25% of the new diet.

  • On Day 3 and 4, feed your cat 50% of their current diet with 50% of the new diet.

  • On Day 5, 6 and 7, feed your car 25% of their current diet with 75% of the new diet.

  • On Day 8, 9 and 10, you are ready to feed 100% of the new diet if there is no resistance or adjustment issues shown by your cat! Otherwise, take it slow by dragging the transition period to allow your cat to get comfortable with the new diet.
